Standing out from the masses with his daring and captivating productions, Newcastle-based Ben Hemsley is a force to be reckoned with. With luring melodies and flavours of old school rave nostalgia, Ben’s records have been highly coveted by the leading labels in dance music, with signings on Ministry of Sound, Trick, Arcane, Repopulate Mars, Stress, Sola & more. Inspired by an early exposure to his mothers passion for 90’s dance music, Ben’s originality has turned the heads of some of the biggest names in the scene such as Patrick Topping, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, Eli Brown, Solardo, Deborah De Luca, Denis Sulta, Green Velvet & Fisher to name a few. His tantalising skills as a producer came to light in 2021 when, after hits ‘Through 2 You’, ‘Bebe Musica’, ‘Love, Peace & Harmony’ & more, Ben became the pinup boy for BBC Radio 1. Accolades included a nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Radio 1 Dance Awards, a Dance Anthems Hottest Record In The World, Playlist additions, multiple tracks of the week & more. He was also honoured with Annie Mac’s last ever Minimix on her final show for Radio 1, in the form of Ben’s ‘Trance Revival Mix’!
Away from the studio, Ben Hemsley maintains an astounding touring schedule. In the space of a couple of years, Ben has risen from being on the dole with barely a show a month to establishing himself as, undoubtedly, one of the hottest tickets on the dance music circuit. In April 2022 Ben sold-out his first headline show at Newcastle’s Lofts Club in 20 minutes, the fastest sell-out the club
has ever seen. He went on to sell-out further headline shows in Liverpool, Leeds, Belfast and other key cities across the UK, not to mention a 6 date Scotland tour which was also sold-out. However, Ben’s first performance at Creamfields was perhaps his most pivotal to date, where he was widely praised for having played the best set of the weekend. As Ben’s meteoric rise continues, this summer boasts mouthwatering festival performances at Creamfields, Boardmasters, Cultivate, Verknipt & more, plus further headline shows, not to mention a 12 date Ibiza season! If that wasn’t enough, Ben recently launched his own imprint bébé with the aim to delve deeper into musical genres that inspire him the most and supporting emerging artists that share similar musical values and influences.
